We know better than to waste our time judging others, yet we are so quick to spend time judging ourselves with a mindset of fear, doubt, condemnation or the combination of all three, which almost always leads to self-sabotage.
Before you talk yourself out of moving forward through your goals, because it 'might be too hard', 'take too much time, 'sacrifice', and effort', or because you think you're 'not deserving or good enough', give yourself a chance! Nobody catapults directly from point 'A' to point 'XYZ' instantaneously. In fact, if we look at things honestly, those who are living the most meaningful and effective lives are those who have taken time to proactively pursue a meaningful and effective life. It takes time, and if you're too unwilling to give yourself a chance to accomplish whatever it is you believe you're called to, it will never happen, and although we might be good at supressing it, regret is a real thing that can steal tremendous joy from our lives.
Time is life, so instead of spending time fueling self doubt, fear or pride, take time to be still, think about it, pray about it - what ever you need to do to adjust your mindset, and consider what it is you want to accomplish, give yourself a chance and go after it!
"Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we willl go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” (James 4:13-15)
"The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty." (Proverbs 21:5)
"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2)
"Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)
"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)
You CAN.
Give yourself a chance,
